Charles Goldblum, owner of Stamford Wrecking, during the demolition of the Ericstan Castle in Tarrytown, NY, discovered a small metal box containing relics commemorating the building. Inset picture depicts the granite Ericstan Castle in 1859 owned by the flour merchant J.J. Herrick. Stamford Wrecking demolished the castle in 1944 for "development" purposes.
