MaGee Ave., The Former American Cyanamid Facility
Stamford, CT
The work consisted of the demolition of a former manufacturing facility and tank farms. This big site had a long history of manufacturing contamination. After the demolition, we were subsequently called in for the wetlands restoration, soil removal and brownfield site capping; installation of storm drains, rip rap drainage channels; driving piles and sheeting; restoration plantings; and the construction of a public boardwalk overlying the wetlands adjacent to the harbor. We worked in conjunction with State and local Departments of Environmental Protection, municipal Wetlands Protection personnel. The Coast Guard and navigable waters issues were concerns that were addressed at this project.
