Environmental - Asbestos
Asbestos is a naturally occurring mineral that was used until the 1970's in a wide variety of building materials such as fireproofing, insulation, cement products, flooring, wall compounds, roofing shingles, stucco putty, sealants and paint coatings. The adverse health effects associated with asbestos exposure are a variety of cancers, other respiratory ailments, and damage to the circulatory sytem. In accordance with applicable laws, asbestos must be identified and removed prior to being disturbed by renovations or demolition activities.
